"We moved here from London in 1999, leaving high-pressure business careers to live a simpler life. We came back to Elaine's roots in Yorkshire. Our aim was always to provide healthy and safe surroundings in which to raise our children, growing our own food in a sustainable way. Eleanor was born in 2000, and Alec in 2002. At first we tried to do everything - growing vegetables, keeping chickens, raising pigs, and milking a house cow. Then we started selling veggie boxes, and they became so successful that we decided to concentrate on growing vegetables. We have 20 acres, and also rent land from our neighbours. But we are still small enough to care and to keep the service personal. We never forget the principles which inspired us to start producing organically. And we never forget that we are running a business which relies on supplying you with what you want, at the quality you demand, and at a fair price."
